CONDITIONS

Ages: from 3 – 8 years / 10 – 14 years
Average number of pupils per class: 10 - 14.
Horas of class per month: 80 (40 in shorter fortnightly courses)

CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR CURSES

  • Children from the age of three to eight years of age get to choose between a two week or a four week full board stay* at Castelar summer camp.
  • Throughout their stay, younger children are given an introduction to the English language in a fun, dynamic way with highly qualified native English speaking staff, in the same way that non native speakers of Spanish are also catered for with intensive Spanish classes, again, given by native Spanish teaching staff .
  • Older pupils are catered for depending on their requirements; we offer classes for those pupils who may need intense tuition in the English language for exam purposes and also more advanced programmes for those pupils who wish to improve existing levels.
  • All pupils are grouped according to their level of English. (Spanish in the case of those students attending our ‘Spanish for Foreigners’ courses).
  • The classes run from 09.30h - 14.00h with a morning break in between.

Morning classes may be set out in the following way:

09.30h – 10.30h:Grammar
10.30 h – 11.30h: Vocabulary and conversation
11.30h – 12.00h: Morning break
12.00h – 13.00h: Pronunciation and listening
13.00h – 14.00h: Games, songs and theatre

*Children may also attend the course as day pupils availing of our half board service where he/she can enjoy nutritious meals prepared by our catering service.
Afternoons in the camp will usually be taken up with sporting activities such as football, tennis, basketball, golf and water sports such as canoeing or windsurfing.
